𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗣 is an ongoing series of movement laboratories exploring improvisation, movement creation, and choreographic practice.
This 5th edition focuses on space as a creative starting point.
Drawing from Julien’s site-responsive choreographic practice, we will explore the relationship between body and space as a source for movement and choreography.
Through guided improvisation and movement creation tasks, we will investigate how the body relates to space, to other bodies, and to the environment around it. Working individually, in pairs, and as a group, we will explore distance, direction, pathways, and spatial relationships as tools for movement generation and composition.
We will go through:
→ Forsythe improvisation tools
→ Individual and group tasks exploring body-space relationships
→ Creative research and choreographic process

𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧:
Julien Klopfenstein is a French choreographer, performer, and teacher based in Budapest. His choreographic work has been presented through stage, site-specific, and film projects, and he has performed and collaborated internationally as a freelance artist. Drawing from his experience as both creator and performer, he leads workshops that combine contemporary dance training, creative research, and choreographic practice.
