Szertetettel várunk Bitó Katalin a The Nature of Us – Artists on board keretében megvalósuló kutatásának prezentációja.
A program a szlovák PlaST, a BROZ természetvédelmi szervezet és a Műhely Alapítvány együttműködésében valósul meg. Kati a BROZ egyik aktuális projektjét követi figyelemmel, a szervezet munkatársaival együtt keresve a módszeres együttműködés lehetőségeit.
A kutatás a természettudomány és a művészet kapcsolódási pontjait vizsgálja az alábbi fókusszal:
Szakmaközi párbeszéd: Hogyan lehet hasznos és inspiráló a közös munka természetvédők és művészek számára?
Alkotói nézőpont: Miért releváns a táncos szemléletmód ökológiai kérdésekben?
Módszertan: Miként verbalizálható az intuitív művészeti tudás, és hogyan építhető hatékony kommunikáció a különböző területek között?
Társadalmi hatás: Hogyan válhat a tánc a környezeti nevelés eszközévé?
A kutatás 2026 januárja és májusa között valósul meg.
A program a Nature of Us Kreatív Európa program “Artist on Board” elemének keretében valósul meg, amely a művészet és a természettudomány közötti együttműködés vizsgálatának biztosít teret. www.natureofus.art
Bitó Katalin 2020-ban végzett a Budapest Kortárstánc Főiskolán, azóta aktív a budapesti független előadóművészeti közegben. A Műhely Alapítványon keresztül már több alkalommal vett részt külföldi rezidencia programon, 2022-ben a Szlovén Nomad Dance Academy, 2024-ben a drezdai Hellerau rezidens művésze volt. Munkáiban a belső képeken alapuló mozgás improvizációs rendszerek, az utóbbi időben pedig egyre nagyobb hangsúllyal a természeti, ökológiai tematikájú kísérletek a leginkább meghatározóak. Saját projektjei mellett Irene Plaque-kal dolgozik.

We invite you to the presentation of Katalin Bitó’s research within the framework of The Nature of Us – Artists on board. The program is implemented in cooperation with the Slovak PlaST, the BROZ nature conservation organization and the Workshop Foundation. Kati will be closely following one of BROZ’s current projects, looking for opportunities for systematic cooperation together with the organization’s staff.
The research examines the connections between natural science and art with the following focus:
Interprofessional dialogue: How can joint work be useful and inspiring for conservationists and artists?
Creative perspective: Why is the dance approach relevant to ecological issues?
Methodology: How can intuitive artistic knowledge be verbalized and how can effective communication between different fields be built?
Social impact: How can dance become a tool for environmental education?
The research is implemented between January and May 2026.
“Artist on Board” is a pilot project realised within the frames of the Nature of Us Creative Europe project, which provides a space for examining the cooperation between art and natural science. www.natureofus.art
Katalin Bitó graduated from the Budapest Contemporary Dance Academy in 2020 and has been active in the independent performing arts scene in Budapest since then. She has participated in foreign residency programs several times through the Műhely Foundation, in 2022 she was a resident artist at the Slovenian Nomad Dance Academy, and in 2024 at the Hellerau in Dresden. In her work, movement improvisation systems based on internal images, and lately, with increasing emphasis, experiments with natural and ecological themes, are the most defining. In addition to her own projects, she works with Irene Plaque.
