NATURE OF US // MOBILITY FOR ARTISTS BASED IN HUNGARY
Workshop Foundation invites artists based in Hungary to apply for a short-term mobility opportunity as part of the international project ‘NATURE OF US, which fosters dialogue between the performing arts and the natural sciences.
The mobility is intended for artists to attend performing arts events, festivals, conferences, or field project, with the goal of exploring how the arts approach ecological questions and climate issues.
This opportunity is designed for personal learning and inspiration, cross-disciplinary understanding, and informal exchange without the need for direct collaboration.
The NATURE OF US is an international collaboration between performing arts organizations from Central Europe (Live Performance Bazaar – CZ, Polka dot Foundation – PL, PlaST – SK, and Workshop Foundation – HU) working together with scientific and institutional partners.
The program responds to the performing arts’ growing need to understand ecological issues and to create meaningful, impactful work that resonates with contemporary audiences. At the same time, it offers scientists new ways to communicate their research and findings through the powerful tools of storytelling, emotion, and aesthetics that artists can bring. Together, these collaborations seek to inspire societal awareness and behavioural change toward climate action.
